Exhibitions

Touring contemporary Australian and Asian art and craft
throughout the region.

The Asialink Arts Exhibitions Program encourages and facilitates greater exchange of cultural material and information between Australia and Asian countries, with a focus on contemporary work and personnel travelling from Australia. It offers opportunities for Australians to enlarge their experience of working in Asia, encouraging personal contacts, on-going communication and further projects. Bilateral exchanges are increasingly being supported, encouraging partnerships between Australian and Asian and organisations.

Since 1991 Asialink has toured over 60 exhibitions in partnership with over 40 galleries and independent curators touring to nearly 200 venues. In these the work of over 400 Australian and Asian artists have been shown to audiences numbering in the hundreds of thousands and through the media, millions.

To date Asialink exhibitions have toured to 18 countries in Asia including: Bangladesh, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, The Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam as well as within Australia.
