The River

A professional development program has been developed to support uptake of The River picture storybook in primary schools.

The program aims to:

• Introduce teachers to The River
• Provide stimulus for use of the picture storybook text within classrooms.

The workshop develops notions about intercultural inquiry and participants have the opportunity to discuss ways that The River can lead to an in-depth study of China, its peoples and culture.
